A House For All Seasons And Reasons

A New direction
March 24, 2003

After reviewing all the bids, it became apparent we didn't want to expend over $300,000 for our new home. We reworked the plans and chose a simple rectangular metal building with steel studs as our basic shell ($50,000 compared to approx. $85,000)

I started with a pecan tree

I started the ground prep in Jan. by chisel plowing then excavative with my front-end loader.

that was OK till I started running into the roots of the trees that we had removed in mid Feb.We had recieved so much rain in Feb. I had to stop work on the main excavation, so I then went on to cut a drainage ditch.
