A House For All Seasons And Reasons

In Loving Memory
February 23, 2004

Lady showed up on our property in the Spring of 1999. I feed and watered her for a couple of days and then she disappeared. I figured she had just kept going on her journey. What I did not know is that Buddy, not wanting another dog, had taken her into Gatesville (about 26 miles from here) and dropped her out. What Buddy did not know is that Lady wanted to be with us. Two day after Buddy had dropped her off, Lady showed up at our door. From that day till today, Lady was part of our family. She will always be a part of me and I am sure she is playing with Buddy.

In early 1999, Buddy came home and told me he had a surprise for me in his pickup. I went out and there in a blanket was this precious little puppy. She was so small that we named her Little Bit. She was my constant companion. No matter where I went on the property, Little Bit was right at my feet. She would even follow me as I mowed or used the tractor. Her bed was under my desk and keep me company each day I worked at home. There where many cold nights since Buddy died that she kept my feet warm. There is a part of my heart that will always be missing now. Since last Friday, she is following Buddy everywhere he goes.
