Continuing Tentatively...

05-17-05

Wow I just don't have time to blog.

I've been contemplating this a lot lately. I started this when Aidan was about two and a half. He was well on his way to entertaining himself. Will might just be a different kind of kid too, or maybe my house here isn't as safe so I have to keep an eye on him more. He also doesn't sleep as well. I've thought about just ending it. Stopping blogging. I think I'll try to hold out until Willie is a little older and see if I can get back into the swing of it.

We are building our garden and it is going to be big and beautiful. It is hugely influenced by Maia's suggestions when I posted about growing sunflowers last year.

It's a flat, sunny 27x40 foot rectangle with a 9 foot curve on the outer side. So it's a rectangle with a curved top. A palladian window. It's covered with a layer of cardboard and then a layer of cedar bark mulch and leaves. The mobile home park residents think I'm nuts no doubt. We have been working on it like squirrels since last fall. By this weekend it should have permanent beds laid out, drip irrigation, and 10 foot locust fence posts (3 feet in the ground and seven feet above). If I want to grow before we can actually put in a fence and a gate, I will use Liquid Fence.

Thank you Maia.

WBCR-LP in Great Barrington is on the air and I've been busy doing things for that. An amazing website will be coming soon. In the meanwhile I offered to donate the fee for a small site to the station and I scored this great job. It's not launched yet - so there are some broken links, kinks, and loose design ends. It's been a very cool project to work on.

Even if you only post every month or so, we'd all love to get to read it, so don't go away unless you really have to, okay?

You're welcome! It sounds like it will be wonderful!

I hope you keep blogging (though I myself am terribly guilty of not keeping up with my own page so I understand your hesitation). I always love to see a new post from you - a little window into your life. And I love to see pictures of your house and garden (and beautiful boys, of course) as they progress!
