Outside our back door. I love the hanging laundry and the juniper tree next to the vacant chicken coop has a striking shape. In the winter, the sun rises right behind this tree. We once saw a moon rise behind it.
I found this praying mantis inside the house, sitting on the kettle on the wood stove. I love praying mantises, though I am a little alarmed that such a large insect could get into the house.
