The local quilt shop had

04-20-02

The local quilt shop had a sale and I bought a bunch of fabric and a book on color. This inspired me to just finish the quilt that I've been working on for two years:

I left Steve's legs there in the picture because I thought they were funny.

I hand quilted it which I will never do again because I found out that there is a local woman with a long arm quilting machine who will do a quilt this size for about $25. So from now on it is just quilt tops for me. I am really interested in color so I got a book called Color from the Heart. There are some pics from it here, but they are not my favorites. There is another book that I like also called Successful Scrap Quilts From Simple Rectangles.

Now you know why I only made one quilt in my life, and plan to never made another. It really turned out great-congratulations. I have 4 quilts I found at Granny's that belonged to her side of the family. Next time you are down, remind me to show you. I know 2 of them are over 100 years old. These will be passed down.Love, Mom

I don't know if the shoes is the real problem here. Steve is how old, 30? Tell him to slide those socks DOWN! Jesus, he's got old man syndrome. I guess it's a country thing, ticks and all. It could be a lot worse, he could be sporting boots with those shorts.
